BuyersKeys (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Probate Handled Ltd (company number 17202765), trading as BuyersKeys. This policy explains what personal data we collect through buyerskeys.co.uk, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
BuyersKeys provides free tools to help UK property buyers. We are not a solicitor, mortgage broker, or financial adviser. Contact: ryan@buyerskeys.co.uk
What we collect
Email address – if you choose to enter your email to receive a tool result, sign up for updates, or contact us. We use MailPoet (a WordPress plugin) to store and manage this.
Website usage data – via Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console, we collect anonymised/aggregated data such as pages visited, general location (country/city level), device type, and how you arrived at the site. This helps us understand what’s useful and fix what isn’t.
Information you enter into tools – figures you type into calculators (income, property price, savings, etc.) are processed in your browser to generate your result. We do not store these inputs on our servers unless you explicitly choose to email yourself a result, in which case the summary is sent via your own email client, not stored by us.
Why we collect it
- To send you the tool result or update you asked for
- To let you know when new tools go live (only if you opted in – no spam, unsubscribe anytime)
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- Where relevant and only with your separate, explicit action: to pass your details to a solicitor or mortgage broker only if you choose to request a referral – see our Referral Disclosure for full detail. We never share your email for marketing/newsletter purposes without your consent.
Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We rely on your consent for email capture and marketing communications, and legitimate interest for basic analytics needed to run and improve the site.
Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Essential site function (these can’t be switched off)
- Analytics (Google Analytics) – helps us see how the site is used
- You’ll be asked to accept or manage cookie preferences when you first visit. See our cookie banner for full control.
How long we keep data
Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics data is retained per Google’s default settings (typically 14 months) unless changed in our account settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Stop processing your data for marketing

Who we share data with
- MailPoet (email storage/sending)
- Google (Analytics, Search Console)
- Solicitors/mortgage brokers – only if you actively request a referral through a specific tool, and only the details needed for that introduction
- We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

We’ll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes. Check back occasionally, especially before providing personal information.
